American beautyberry is a fast growing native perennial shrub; growing five to eight feet tall and almost as wide with drooping branches. In late spring to early summer, inconspicuous flowers of blue, violet, pink, or white are arranged in clusters on the stems between the leaves. In August or September, clusters of small purple to blue berries or drupes encircle the woody stems. This donation is for three beautyberry bushes to be placed in the M Plaza by the cul-de-sac.

Loropetalum, sometimes known as Chinese fringe flower, is a superb, spring flowering, lightly scented evergreen shrub for milder climates. Developing into a rounded or vase-shaped evergreen shrub or small tree, the neat dark green foliage is gray on the undersides and, in spring, clusters of frilly narrow-petalled flowers appear at the leaf joints. Flower color ranges from deep red, through a range of red and salmon and rose pink shades to a slightly creamy white. This donation is for a set of six bushes planted along the M Plaza driveway.

Little Lime Punch begins its show in early summer with handsome lime-green blooms. But it’s as the summer progresses its blooms gradually mature to bright Hawaiian Punch-red… and then it reblooms! Creating a mix of lime green, white, pink, and dark pink blooms all on one compact little shrub. This donation is for two bushes on either side of the Foundation sign.

The Coral Bark Japanese Maple's allure goes beyond its winter display. In spring, its delicate foliage emerges in a delightful shade of green, creating a fresh and invigorating ambiance. As summer arrives, the leaves transition into a lush, deep green canopy, providing a serene backdrop for your outdoor space. When fall arrives, prepare to be captivated by a spectacular show of bright yellow and orange foliage.

Fantastic tricolored foliage in shades of creamy-white, rose-burgundy, and dark green make this ajuga different than all the others. In the fall, the mature leaves turn a deep bronze while the newer growth takes on a rose tone. From mid to late spring, short spikes of blue flowers stand upright above the low, spreading foliage.

M Platz Society
Thanks to the generosity of our trustee Dr. Leo Newland, we now have an outdoor space worthy of The Ultimate Driving Museum. The platz—German for plaza—is a 1,200 square foot gathering space made of brick pavers. Everyone who donates to the Platz in 2022 will have the chance to purchase a personalized brick and will have their name listed in our M Platz Society donor’s guide. We are also offering limited-edition, special “red-carpet” bricks. Our Red Carpet bricks are located on the main pathway and get maximum visibility. Tribute bricks may be dedicated in loving memory of someone dear to you, or in honor of someone passed. An example might read “1998 E46 M3 John Smith,” or “In Loving Memory of Granddad Ernie.” It will be nestled in the platz as a permanent reminder of your support of our mission and the 50th Anniversary of BMW Motorsport. Anyone can make a one-time donation to support the platz—or the Foundation in general—without purchasing a brick. Click here for the BMW CCA Foundation's Donation page! You can also support the platz and our Foundation with a donation towards our Adirondack chairs. Click here for the Adirondack Chair page. (After your payment is processed you will receive a link to the Personalized Brick Form. Please fill out the form and return it to the Foundation by mail or email so we may create your personalized brick. You may also click HERE to download the form.) -
